The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 is the best (and priciest) Ally yet
The X20 maintains the same AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and 24 GB LPDDR5X memory as last year's X model while adding an OLED display, redesigned transparent plastic shell and updated controls. The reviewer found it impressive but noted that Windows remains a suboptimal handheld OS and the premium $1,300 price tag limits appeal beyond enthusiast audiences. Xbox and ASUS continue expanding their gaming handheld portfolio following last year's well-received Xbox Ally X.
Key points
- Same AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme and 24GB LPDDR5X as Xbox Ally X
- New OLED display and transparent shell design
