Privacy policy

This policy explains how Anantam Tech handles information when you visit our website, subscribe, or contact us.

What we store

If you subscribe or contact us, we store the email address and message you provide so we can manage your subscription or respond to you. We store an anonymous view count for each story. We do not use advertising cookies.

On your device

Your theme choice and the sections you open for “For you” recommendations are saved in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device. When you request recommendations, the section names are sent to us to provide them. We also save a timestamp of your last visit in local storage, which lets our visitor counter tell a new visit from the same one; the timestamp stays on your device, and we count only the total number of visits.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server automatically records technical details of each request: your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser type. We use them to keep the site secure, fix problems and understand overall traffic. These logs are kept for about two weeks and then deleted. To limit spam, we also briefly hold your IP address in memory to count how often a form is submitted; it is not saved in our database.

Images and third parties

Story images, podcast artwork and video thumbnails are loaded directly from the servers of the original publishers, podcast hosts or YouTube (Google). When your browser loads them, those servers can see your IP address and browser details, under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. When you click through to a source, you leave our site and that site’s policy applies.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we email you a confirmation link and send you nothing until you click it. We store your email address, the times you signed up and confirmed, and a private code that lets you confirm or unsubscribe. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we keep your address marked as unsubscribed, so we do not email you again, until you ask us to delete it. We send the emails through our email provider. We do not track whether you open or click them.

Report orders

If you request a report, we store the details you enter in the request form: your name, work email address, company, country, the licence you chose, the tax ID if you give one, and any message. We also store the status of the order (for example invoiced or paid), its dates, and any internal note we add. We use these details to reply to you, issue invoices, send you the download link and keep business and tax records. The report PDF we deliver is stamped on every page with your name, company, email address and order number, and we count how many times your download link is used. We do not take card payments on this website; payment is arranged separately after we send you an invoice. The seller, Blitz Learning Technologies Pvt. Ltd., receives these details, and we send emails through our email provider. We keep order records for as long as we need them for invoicing, accounting and legal requirements, and then delete them.

Your rights

Email us at contactus@anantamtech.com to request deletion of your subscription or messages. You can also write to the same address to ask what we hold about your report order; we may need to keep invoice records that the law requires.
